Sharing the Culture of Panama with the World!

(Nov. 24, 2021, Los Angeles, CA) – Viva Panama Organization (VPO) with great pleasure announces its participation at The Hollywood Christmas Parade, with a float commemorating the 200 years of our Independence from Spain (Nov. 28, 1821).  The parade will take place on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, starting at 5 pm at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Orange Drive in Hollywood.

The 89th Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade will be hosted by Erik Estrada, Laura McKenzie, Dean Cain, and Montel Williams, with special co-host Elizabeth Stanton.  The parade will premiere as a two-hour special on The CW Network on Friday, December 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET / PT.  The parade, featuring the Marine Toys for Tots program, essential in providing gifts to less fortunate children everywhere, will also air on the Hallmark Channel and American Forces Network, to more than one million American servicemen and women worldwide.

The event will be presented and produced by Associated Television International, in association with The City of Los Angeles. A true Hollywood yearly tradition, the parade attracts more than one million in attendance each year, with larger-than-life inflatable character balloons, award-winning bands, colorful equestrians, ornate floats, popular characters/novelties, celebrity-filled cars and, of course, Santa Claus-making the much-heralded trek down the over three-mile parade route.

We’re proud to share the richness of Panamanian culture through its music, dances, and the warmth and vibrancy of our people with the multicultural community of Southern California and the world for the last 30 years.

Our special guest is Panamanian Jockey, and Hall of Fame winner, Mr. Laffit Pincay Jr.

The float presented by Viva Panama Organization will display an under-the-sea world, representing the meaning of the native word PANAMA: “Abundance of fish”, adorned with the presence of Andrea Ayala, Srta. Panama CA 2021, who will be wearing a La Pollera, the national costume of Panama.  Dancers from all over Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco joined the group.

Viva Panamá Organization wishes you and your loved ones Happy Holidays and a Prosperous New Year!
