Greetings, friends and followers of Viva Panama Organization! We want to take this opportunity to remind you of our next event celebrating our 35 years of sharing the culture of Panama and the world.
Our Coral Gala will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 3 pm. We have chosen the Vatican Banquet Hall, in the city of Van Nuys, CA, to celebrate this event, and will be entertained by DJ Juancoyi.
We will be celebrating our anniversary within the framework of the International Week of Panama in Los Angeles County, and awarding the Ambassador Award to three personalities who have given renown to our cultural heritage as Panamanians living in Los Angeles:
* Architect Jabdiel Zapata is a professional who stands out in the United States in the Pasadena area, and who has received multiple awards. His commitment to the architectural profession earned him a nomination by his professional peers for President of the Pasadena and Foothill Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in 2019, after having served as a member of the board of directors for several years. Owner of the architectural firm Prout Architecture in San Gabriel, CA.
* Yvett Busby Arango is another professional who serves as administrator of 23fifteen Living Options, which is a residential health care agency in the California area that provides high-quality support to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities; 24-hour non-medical care and supervision in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
* Antonio Andrés Rosello is the Ambassador of the Red Cross of Panama and is a professional actor who is fluent in 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, and Italian) with credits for TV and film. She has acted in two feature films, most recently leading the second in August 2023 in Florida, several commercial plays, films for international festivals, and a television series. I think we are very well represented and ready to celebrate our culture outside of Panama and share it with the rest of the world!
