The Panamanian Cultural Arts Center had the opportunity to exhibit at the Los Angeles Latino Book & Family Festival, on August 26 & 27, 2000 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  The Panamanian representation was considered one of the best ones, and excellent critics from the organizers were given.

The exhibit included a beautiful display of traditional costumes from Panama, such as the glamorous and luxurious Pollera, the exotic and colorful attire of our Kuna Indians, as seen in the picture, and Victor Grimaldo.

The presence of the Panamanian Consul in Los Angeles, Lic. Fernando Daly, the famous Latin actor and sponsor of the event, Edward James Olmos, the Panamanian representative in the Miss Panamerican Beauty Pageant, Siannah Collado, and the members of the Ballet Folklorico Viva Panama, were amongst many friends and fans.
